Country Food Trust

An abundance of people in England struggle with a lack of food over the festive period, which is an even bigger challenge this year due to the cost of living crisis. So this Christmas, Copas Traditional Turkeys are partnering with the Country Food Trust to make sure any of our leftover meat is used. Instead of going to food waste, any turkey legs from our Crown & Breast Roast orders will be donated to Country Food Trust, who will take our unused meat and will turn them into meals for people in need.
Country Farm Trust was founded in 2015 and have been helping the community since, as they believe everyone should have access to healthy and nutritious meals. They will turn our turkey legs into single and ready to use pouches, which can last up to a year and do not need to be refrigerated. Additionally, they can be made into catering packs for charities to feed large groups of people in need at once.
The Trust have launched their winter appeal and are looking to raise £200,000 this year, so if you would like to help this cause, a donation of £3.50 can be added to your order here. This small charge will cover the packaging and delivery costs of your turkey legs to Country Food Trust. Alternatively, a direct donation of a larger amount can be made here on the Country Food Trust website.
We hope this partnership will be ongoing and can help to reduce any of our food waste in the future.
