A month ago we asked our neighbours and friends to help keep bird flu away by closing the footpaths and restricting access to our farm. As bird flu accelerated across the UK farmers were instructed to keep birds inside for the final weeks and our whole team stepped up to meet the challenge. We are so delighted to share that it worked and our birds kept healthy. We can now guarantee we can supply your Christmas turkey and invite you to join us in a (very deep) collective sigh of relief!

As Christmas draws closer, and with the challenges of the year, we are reminded again about what makes our turkeys so very very special, and why we have been doing this hard work for over 60 years.

As our founder, Tom A Copas, often said “We don’t want our customers to be satisfied, we want them to be ecstatic”. When he left school and started rearing turkeys in 1957 he soon learnt that scrupulous attention to detail and traditional techniques could create a turkey that was completely different to what was available in local butchers shops.
