Product Descriptions
Venison steaks are known for their lean and flavourful qualities. They have a rich, gamey flavour that's distinct from beef, with a finer texture and less marbling. Venison steaks are typically cooked quickly over high heat to medium-rare or medium. They can be grilled or pan-seared and are often seasoned with herbs, spices or marinades.
Our delicious venison steaks come from the Culden Faw Estate near Henley-On-Thames.
Cooking Instructions
Cook from chilled or fully defrosted.

Remove steaks from the fridge 20 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.

Preheat a frying pan or griddle over high heat.

Lightly oil and season the steaks with salt and pepper.

Sear for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 3–4 minutes per side for medium.

Rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to settle.
Tip: Venison is lean, so avoid overcooking to keep it tender and juicy. Ideal served with root vegetables, red wine jus, or a fruity chutney.
