In an effort to reduce food waste, we are offering our customers these Blemished Birds at discounted price. They might have a slight nick or imperfection, but the meat will still be as delicious as our premium birds. They arrive in a plain box with our cooking instructions and handy pop-up timer.

Blemished whole bronze bird
You supplied a bird at the top of the weight range, as I had requested. It was cooked according to your instructions (they omitted to mention fat for basting!!). I added butter after the first 30 minutes. It was quite dry and tough. If I bought one again I would add bacon etc for added flavour. Hi Sheena, thank you for your feedback. We specifically don't mention adding fat or butter to our birds as it's not required. They are fully matured birds and, as such, have a layer of natural fat below the skin.

Delicious and moist. I'd like the skin to be a little thicker but not if it affects the moisture!

Blemished Bird
Copas fan - for the first time, we bought a blemished bird. Perhaps blemished to the trained eye but perfect in mine and no difference in taste/look to the regular Copas turkey I buy. Can’t wait until next years!

Blemished whole bronze bird
Beautiful turkey as usual, just a small mark on the breast, which was no problem. Cooked perfectly, and tasted wonderful! Beautiful succulent meat. One small niggle - no giblets, not many herbs, as we used to have, plus it looked like it had been refrigerated, and wasn't dry skined as they used to be. Nevermind, we shall be back next year.

Fabulous turkey
Having ordered a blemished turkey, I was unable to see what was actually wrong with it! The turkey cooked beautifully, tasted amazing and I would go as far as to say it was the best I have had. I will definitely order the same next year not just for the quality of the bird but also if it helps to reduce potential food waste.

Collection, cooking and taste
Your response to COVID restrictions for the collection was remarkable. The whole experience was excellent with the steady flow of traffic and the happy and helpful staff processing the collections very safely. The prep & cooking instructions were all very clear and produced a perfectly cooked bird in the timings. There was very little blemishing other than the quills that remained in the skin, but I removed any on the face of the bird with tweezers before cooking. The meat was moist (I did add a large potato to the bird cavity to avoid the meat drying out) and flavourful. We were delighted with the whole experience, thank you for helping to keep some of Christmas normal! Well done to you all.
